LETTER: Celebrate God and country with the Singing Americans

Published 5:57 pm Friday, July 6, 2018

I am proud to be a citizen of this wonderful country.
I’m grateful for my ancestors, many of whom migrated here even before our nation was born.
I’m also grateful to live in Stanly County, which is blessed with many wonderful people, beautiful land and many opportunities.
I’ve been blessed to be a part of many fine organizations here, including Boy Scouts, Locust Presbyterian, Stanly County CVB, Albemarle Rotary and The Singing Americans.
This Sunday, the Singing Americans of Stanly County will perform its patriotic concert at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m.
The Singing Americans have been sharing music for God and country since 1976 and this year’s patriotic concert should not be missed by anyone who is proud to be an American.
Thanks to director Doug Freeman and this great group of around 40 singers for putting together a really impressive concert.
Come Sunday afternoon to the air conditioned sanctuary at Pleasant Grove Church in Frog Pond and celebrate these United States of America with The Singing Americans of Stanly County.
