Alma “Polly” Helen Russell Talbert, 87, of Albemarle passed away September 6, 2018 in Stanly Manor.

Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Stanly Gardens of Memory with Pastor Jerry Mabry officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care.
Born in 1931 in Stanly County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Gillam and Nora Russell.
She was a graduate of Albemarle High School. She was a life-long member of Congregational Christian Church where she sang in the choir for many years.
Mrs. Talbert was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Kenneth Talbert, and a son, Roy Kenneth “Kenny” Talbert.
She is survived by her son Richard Wayne “Rick” Talbert and wife Donna Gathings Talbert of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., daughter Cynthia Talbert “Cindy” Sigmon and husband Robert Keith Sigmon of Albemarle, grandchildren Summer Safrit and husband Steffi of Waxhaw, Corey Talbert of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Robert Keith Sigmon II and Stephen Denning of Albemarle, Lindsey Sigmon Almond and husband Chris of Fayetteville, N.C., and Anna Sigmon Nester and husband Will of Christiansburg, VA. She was the proud Great Grandmother of Mia, Elaina, Brennan, and Max. She is also survived by brother, Merle Russell of North Ft. Myers, FL and sister, Rubenia Bergen of Monroe, N.C.
