Jeanette Sells Poplin, 85, of Albemarle passed September 8, 2018 in Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehab.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care on Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the hour of the service.
Born July 23, 1933 in Stanly County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee Sells and Cordelia Hinson Sells and was a retired employee of Collins and Aikman. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Poplin was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Poplin. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by sisters, Jewel Sells, Grace Efird, Etta Eudy, Eunice Burris, Evelyn Davis and Mary Ruth Cotter and one brother, Floyd Sells.
She is survived by a brother, John D. Sells of Albemarle, and many nieces and nephews.
