SNAP holds fundraiser for Newspapers In Education Program

ASHEBORO — The Stanly News & Press will hold a call in auction tonight from 5pm to 7pm. 

The Stanly News & Press has worked with many local merchants to gather 32 items to be sold from 5pm-7pm, Thursday April 25. All items will be sold for $35 to the first caller at 704-982-2121. We will limit one sale per caller.

The items vary in retail value, but will be sold for $35. Merchants participating include, Tiger Lily, Albemarle TaeKwonDo, Hudson Pool Distributors,Inc., Xpress Lube, Kannaplis Intimidators, RPM Cycles, Pizza Hut, Sweet Dreams Portrait Studio, Papa Johns Pizza, Starnes Jewelers, Dun-Rite Cleaners, S&D Construction, Sun Seekers Tanning, Rosebriar, Vac & Dash, Locust Ace Hardware, Applebee's, Waynes Worlds, The Worx Hair & Nail Salon, Zaxby's, Sweet Dreams Portrait Studio, Andy's Burger, Shakes & Fries, The Tillery Tradition Country Club and Domino's Pizza.

The rules for the fundraiser are:

Only ONE certificate is available for each block.

Only one certificate may be purchased per phone call.

Certificates are sold on a FIRST CALL FIRST SERVED BASIS.

Only credit card payments will be accepted. Please have credit card available at time of call.

Certificates may only be purchased at 704-982-2121.

Please do not call individual business for information prior to the sale.

Blocks may be purchased for the stated amount of $35.00.



All proceeds from The Stanly News & Press NIE Block Sale go toward providing papers to teachers and students to use in the classrooms.
