Saturday from 10 am until 11:30 am, and billed as an event for ladies and gentlemen 4 years and older, the City Youth Ballet present, “Clara’s Tea Party.” The performance takes place at the Agri-Civic Center. The City Youth Ballet is part of the Uwharrie Youth Arts, a non-profit organization that strives to educate and entertain through the art of dance throughout the Uwharrie Lakes region of North Carolina.
At 3 pm on Saturday afternoon, it’s time for the Locust Christmas Parade and Festivities. The event has grown along with the city, getting bigger and better every year. This year’s parade will start at the intersection at Food Lion and will end at Locust City Park. After the parade there will be Christmas festivities for all ages at the Town Center and the grand finale will be, of course, the lighting of the Christmas Tree.
