  • Man arrested after hiding in 14-year-old girl's closet for 6 days

    A North Carolina man faces the possibility of life in prison stemming from statutory rape charges of a 14-year-old girl after spending six days hidden in her closet, officials said. Jarred Ashley Workman, 27,  of Albemarle, was charged with 11 counts of statutory rape and five counts of statutory sex offense, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
