The Baptist Men prepared a full breakfast at church on Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m. A mother’s breakfast was first planned, but later it was decided to invite everyone. Bacon, sausage, country ham, eggs, grits, toast, biscuits, juice, coffee and omelets for those who wished were served. There was a time of fellowship before Sunday school.
At the worship hour the congregation songs were “Faith of Our Mothers” and “Sweet Hour of Prayer.” The choir special was “Thanks For Loving Me.”
Leonard Harvell and his family played and sang “Amazing Grace.” Leonard and sons, Jeff and Phil, sang. His grandson, Patrick, played piano; granddaughter, Angela, played the organ; grandson, Adam, played guitar; granddaughter, Mallory, played mandolin, and; granddaughter Madison, a flute. It is great to see a family of children growing up playing instruments.
Pastor Terry Burris read scripture from Exodus and Hebrews. He talked about the faith of Moses’ mother.
