— Brent Hathcock was the speaker at the 8:30 a.m. contemporary service July 13. Brent’s father and a friend will have charge of the service on Sunday.
At the regular church hour, a special recognition celebration was held. The U.M.W. of Palestine Church honored Audrey Carter and Jane Smith for their service not only to the U.M.W., but also to their church. We offer congratulations and best wishes to each of these women.
Pastor Nick Rochester presented the children’s message, reminding the children to always give thanks to God for every blessing.
The title of Pastor Nick’s morning message was, “How do we know that there is growth?” He read Matthew 13:1-9-18:23 as his scriptural backup.
Upcoming events
VBS will be held at Palestine U.M.C. from July 21-25. The time Monday-Thursday is 6:30-8 p.m. and on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Please note the change in time for Friday and make plans to attend these activities. Everyone is welcome.
