Thank you
To everyone, not just the South Albemarle community, that came together last week to show their love and concern for the families of Mr. Andrico Lilly, Mr. Tevis Swaringen and Mr. Justin Cowan during their homegoing service. A special thank you goes to The Rev. Valerie Washington of Union Chapel Church who was the eulogist for Lilly, and Bishop James Richardson of Saints Delight Church who was the eulogist for the other two services, Swaringen and Cowan; both came to us with an inspiring message.
To the ministers from all of the surrounding churches that overflowed the pulpit each day, the ushers from the different churches dressed in your attire, the staff from the different schools, the coach, the football players from AMS and ASHS that came out in your jerseys on Tuesday and sat together.
To the ones that took the time to get a community choir together for a time like this, and how you sang so beautifully on the choir loft, as well as the musicians, we thank you all.
To the councils who were on stand by, Nolan Davis of Daymark and the other councils from Monroe that came in and were at all of the services. Minister Kim Scott, who presided over the three services, representing the community as well as the Stanly County Schools.
All of the flowers, food, monetary gifts, your presence, kind words, beautiful cards and especially your prayers did not go unnoticed.
We all thank you, without everyone’s help, it would have been a little more difficult to get through this. Continue to remember these families through calls, cards and or visits.
Bereavement
Continue to remember the family of the fourth teenager that passed away around noon on Wednesday, July 31, Mr. De Angelo Martin of Seattle, Wash.
