— The members of Freedom Baptist Church will be celebrating their homecoming this Sunday. You are invited to come and join in Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. A covered dish dinner will follow the worship service.
This will be a wonderful time to join them in celebration and fellowship. Freedom Baptist Church is located at 20015 Coley Store Road, Locust.
Movie in the Park
There will be a free family movie in the Jeff Shelton Memorial Park in Locust on Friday. The movie will be “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” and will begin at dark. This will be a great time for families to enjoy together.
Anniversaries
A 50th wedding anniversary reception will honor Hoyle and Betty Ledbetter on Aug. 23 from 3-5 p.m. at Home Savings Bank, 102 South St., in Locust Center City.
The family would like to invite friends of the couple to drop by with congratulations and wishes. No gifts please, just your presence will be truly cherished.
Trips
Nashville
The travelers will head to Nashville, Tenn. Nov. 21-23. After settling in the hotel everyone will enjoy Christmas on the Cumberland Dinner Cruise aboard the General Jackson Showboat.
The next day there will be a guided tour of Nashville Music City USA that will include the historic Ryman Auditorium.
After dinner they will enjoy an evening performance at the Grand Old Opry.
