For a number of years, many of you have expressed a desire to fellowship at a Founders’ Day, a time when all the saints who have been affiliated with the United Church of God (UCOG) can gather to celebrate our spiritual heritage.
The time is now.
We are pleased to inform you that on Sept. 12-13, we will assemble in Albemarle for the United Church of God Fellowship Reunion.
We invite all members and friends of the UCOG, past and present, to join us during this time of celebration, fellowship, reminiscing and rejoicing.
We want to honor our founders, patriarchs and matriarchs who laid the foundation upon which we all still stand.
The reunion will begin with a service on Friday morning, Sept. 12, at the old Saints Delight Church, which served as the original headquarters of the UCOG.
We have reserved the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center to house the Friday and Saturday morning services. Bishop Claude Campbell will be presiding.
Upcoming events
Friday - All night shut-in service at St. Paul from 9 p.m. until 9 a.m. The pastor is The Rev. Bart Grambling.
Saturday, 1-3 p.m. - “Back to School Bash” at St. Luke Badin. There will be games, giveaways, food and lots of fun. Sponsored by the Missionary Department of St. Luke.
Aug. 25-29 - Elder Patrich Purcell will sponsor a week crusade at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
