Canton Baptist
Sunday began with the call to worship being sung by the children's choir. The congregation and choir sang the congregational hymn of “Nothing But the Blood.”
The children's message was presented by Bradley Williams and special music was presented by the choir singing “Grace Medley.” The message was presented by Pastor Mark out of Luke 8:15 entitled “An Open Heart.”
Please remember our members in nursing homes and at home.
We would like to welcome our newest member, John Owen Honeycutt of Locust.

6 p.m. Nov. 23 - Gordon Jensen concert.
7 p.m. Nov. 26 - Annual community Thanksgiving service at Canton. If you would be willing to donate a cake or pie for a time of fellowship following the service, sign the sheet in the foyer or on the bulletin board.
Thanksgiving offering for Baptist Children's Homes - A challenge has been given for at least 99 people to give 75 cents a day through the month of November and for all children to collect change to be collected on Nov. 23. Envelopes for this offering are on the foyer table.
S.C.C.M. item for November is canned meat.
Pine Grove
Sunday began with the hymn of praise of “I Love to Tell the Story,” followed by the psalter lesson of Psalm 121. After the children's sermon, which was given by April Bowers, the sermon was presented by The Rev. Leslee Wray. The hymn of commitment to close the service was “Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross.”

Nov. 26 - Methodist Men fundraiser from 4-6 p.m. Community Thanksgiving service will be at Canton Baptist Church at 7 p.m.

Grove Baptist
Sunday began with the congregational songs of “Praise Him! Praise Him!” and “Victory in Jesus” being sung by the choir and congregation. Special music was presented by K.C. Burleson with the song “How Great Thou Art.”
The morning message was presented by The Rev. Richard Carlisle out of Psalm 37:23-31.

The youth have begun their candle sale. See Randy, Marie or one of the youth for more information and to place and order. Samples are available.
Nov. 23, 6 p.m. - Thanksgiving meal. Drinks, desserts and tea are still needed.

Upcoming events
Nov. 21, 5:30-9 p.m. - 16th annual Downtown Albe-marle Christmas event. An important addition to this year's celebration will be the collection of non-perishable food items and new unwrapped toys for Stanly Community Christian Mini-stry. These items may be brought to the Courthouse Square on the evening of Nov. 21 to be placed in the Christmas sleigh.
Nov. 26 - Thanksgiving Eve services at Canton Baptist Church.
Vine Life Baptist
Sunday the welcome chorus was “Jesus, We Just Want to Thank You” and the praise and offering song was “He Keeps Me Singing.” There was special singing by the choir which presented the song, “I Keep Falling In Love With Him.”
Pastor Hunsucker gave the adult sermon out of Romans 15:14-16 on “Sufficient and Insufficient.”

Please remember our church members who are also in various Armed Forces and unable to be here day to day because they are helping to protect us and this country. They are: AJ Barringer, serving in Georgia; Kyle Efird, stationed at Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville; Daniel McIlwaine, who is back home; and Bradley Will-iams, serving in Iraq; all of St. Martin’s, Chris Lord, stationed at Ft. Riley in Kansas of Charity Baptist Church and Erik Frank, who is back home of Pine Grove U.M.C. If you know of any other service personnel, please let me know.
