Thursday, March 11, 2010 — The children’s sale that is usually at the Armory will be held March 13 at the Stanly County Senior Center, 283 N. Third St., Albemarle.

The Armory is not available due to troops coming home. 

There will be 60 sellers at the sale.

This is not just twin or triplet merchadise. There will be children’s clothing (all sizes), seasonal attire, equipment, maternity wear, toys, games, puzzles, accessories and more.

Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for Early Bird Entry ($1 admission). Free admission begins at 8 a.m.

The sale will close from 11 a.m. until noon and reopen with a half-price sale from noon until 2 p.m. Please note that not all items may be half-price.

No children or strollers are permitted.

Bike Run

Mark your calendars now for the 12th Annual Kerri D. Efird Memorial Scholar-ship Bike Run on April 24.

Registration will be at 10 a.m. The bikes will leave West Stanly High School at 11 a.m. 

Cost to enter the bike run is a tax deductible donation. 

Plan now to come out and support this scholarship fund that is 100 percent supported by this event.

All scholarships will be awarded to West Stanly High School seniors.
