Law student receives honors

Sunday, May 16, 2010 — Sharika Robinson has finished No. 1 in her class during her first semester at North Carolina Central School of Law. She was one of three students out of 204 to make the dean’s list as summa cum laude, which requires that the student achieve a BPA of 3.5 or better.

She was recently honored for achieving the highest grade in her class for Civil Procedure, Contracts and Property. She also won the 1L Closing Argument contest and as a result, her name is permanently mounted on a plaque in the NCCU School of Law building.

Robinson participated in the Inter-School 1L Kil-patrick and Stockton Mock Trial Team, which placed as finalist in the competition, beating out several law schools in the state.

This summer, Robinson was offered several summer associate positions. She has accepted an offer to work with Pfizer Pharma-ceutical as one of seven students nationwide who will be employed with Pfizer this summer.

Robinson is the granddaughter of Olivia and Wilbert Butler and a 2001 graduate of Albemarle High School.
