— Danny and Toni Buchanan of New London, announce the engagement of their daughter, Danielle Marie Buchanan to Matthew Todd Mauldin, son of Randy and Chris Mauldin of Richfield. Miss Buchanan is a 2003 graduate of North Stanly High School and will graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in elementary education. Mr. Mauldin is a 2000 graduate of North Stanly High School and 2002 graduate of North Carolina State University. He is employed at Hendrick Lexus as a service advisor. The wedding is planned for June 7, 2008 at Gold Hill Park.
