On Saturday, Rocky River Vineyards holds its Christmas Open House from 1 pm to 6 pm. A select few artists will be selling gift items, children can visit with Santa Claus with cookies and juice, and throughout the day you can listen and participate in Karaoke Christmas Carols and other Christmas songs. It’s a great day to visit the vineyard with friends and family. And don’t forget to bring your camera.
On Sunday, Albemarle Downtown Development presents its Holiday Tour of Homes from 2 pm to 7 pm. Proceeds benefit the Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation Design Committee. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 on the day of the event. Food specials will be offered at Off the Square and Z Pi’s in Albemarle.
Wrap up your weekend with the Singing Americans as they present “Christmas…Then, Now and Forever” on Sunday at 3 pm at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center. If the wonderful music of this great singing choir doesn’t get you in the Christmas Spirit, nothing will.
We’re a rural county with small communities, and perhaps because of this we know how to celebrate the holidays with warmth and joy and fellowship in the true old-fashioned way. Come and join us and share the spirit of the season.
