Heather Carter is Player of the Year

North Stanly’s Heather Carter heads the 2008 RRC All-Conference Soccer and for the fourth consecutive year is the 2008 Player of the Year as chosen by the league’s coaches.
The Charlotte recruit is joined on the All-RRC team by three Lady Comet teammates - Lisa Suggs, Keelie Ward and Rachel Barringer.
Others named are: Paige McConlogue (Albemarle); Ashley Harrington, Molly Peele and Caitlin Corbett (Gray Stone); Caitlyn Ritchie (South Stanly); and Alexis Rowe (West Stanly).
Named honorable mention are: Jessica Barringer (North Stanly); Heather Eudy (Gray Stone); Mariah Lowder (Albemarle); Allison Greene (South Stanly); and Marisa Freeman (West Stanly).
Bill Potter of Forest Hills is the 2008 Coach of the Year.

After leading the Lady Comets to an undefeated regular season and into the second round of the 2A State Playoffs, North’s Heather Carter is the 2008 Player of the Year. Carter has signed to play at Charlotte.
