I am looking for a church that greets and welcomes you when you walk in the door. They don’t judge you by what you wear. They have activities for youth and young children to be involved in the church and know and love God.
I work on night shift, the only time I can attend services are on Sunday mornings but the rest of my family could be there on Sunday and Wednesday nights.
I might be old fashioned but I am looking for a preacher to step on my toes. Not be led by the committee or congregation. I know I am a sinner but don’t look or talk down to me because of it. Teach me, lead me to God’s path. The preacher is our shepherd, we are his sheep. If he can’t lead us home to be with God, who can? God is the head, the doors are the arms and the preacher is the heart of a church.
Sinners are like smokers, we are being cast out because we are different. We don’t hear of good churches to go to. We never hear someone asking or telling us of their church. Where are the helpers of the church, talking to people, asking them to visit their church, helping the preacher to bring the lost to him.
My church was old fashioned. The preacher got up to preach, he preached. He started reading from the Bible but God stepped in and started talking to us. He would walk the aisles, turned red in the face from preaching what God was telling him. He talked fast, trying to preach everything God was saying to him. That was some toe stepping when he finished. He didn’t hold back from hurting someone.
Please tell me there are preachers that do this. Please tell me there are churches that accept you for what you have to wear,. God doesn’t see your clothes, he sees your heart.
If this sounds like your church, write to me and let me come as I am to be in the house of the Lord.
