As a small business owner for 17 years, a veteran and conservative Republican, I would like to express my disappointment with the choice of candidate my party has chosen.
Richard Hudson claims to be a small business person himself and seems to have pulled a typical Washington insider stunt, by creating a business front the day before he filed to run as the Republican in the 8th district.
I read an article in a conservative news letter, The Haymaker, which presented the facts on this matter. It told of Richard Hudson’s employment record, which is totally been inside one political congressional office or another. Meaning he has never had the experience of trying to make payroll, pay rising insurance cost or even trying to pay the gas bills on a fleet of trucks.
As the article states he was parachuted in to run in a district that has been redrawn to benefit the Republican candidate.
These things trouble me. We need someone that keeps his promises and tells the truth, even if it’s not popular. Someone that can represent us, because he knows us. Larry Kissell is a native of this district and understands our everyday issues.
I have chosen to support Larry Kissell, because I believe parties should not dictate who we vote for, but character and proven performance should be the factors that help us make that choice. Being a small business owner, I looked to groups like the NFIB for help on choices and candidates, but they have chosen a person that has represented himself falsely as a small business owner.
I may not agree with Larry Kissell on every issue, but I know he is a man of good character and heart. And would be proud to be represented by him again in the U.S. Congress.
