Timothy Odell Smith and Diane Marie Almond Smith of Oakboro celebrated their 50th Anniversary on Saturday, April 29, 2023, with a cookout at the home of their daughter.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith were married in 1973 at Barbees Grove Church by the late Rev. Bill Brown.

Mrs. Smith is the daughter of Dorothy Morton Almond of Oakboro and the late Bennie Lee Almond.

Mr. Smith is the son of the late Gurnie Odell Smith and the late Dorothy Burgess Smith of Oakboro.

Attending the celebration was their son, Michael, and his wife, Jessica, their daughter, Cheri Milano, and her husband, Rob, and their daughter, Leah Swink, and her husband, Jeffrey; grandchildren, Melanie and Judson Swink and Daniel and Brook Milano; and Diane’s mother, Dorothy.

Also attending were Renee and Charles Honey, Christeen Sasser, Ron and Christy Honeycutt, Brenda Burris, Chad, Stephanie and Nathaniel Burris, Hoyt and Sherry Teeter, and Buster and Linda Pigg.

On display during the cookout was their wedding album, their 25th anniversary album and various photos of the couple and photos of their parents.
