Sunday, June 8, 2014 — Ansley Elizabeth McSwain and Nicholas L. Hoyt were united in marriage at five-thirty in the afternoon on June 7, 2014, at Il Bella Gardens, Snickers Lane, Albemarle, North Carolina. Officiant Rachel Brand conducted the marriage service.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark McSwain of Harrisburg, North Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Ella Vick and the late Mr. Ralph G. Vick of Norwood, North Carolina and Mr. Liles McSwain and the late Mrs. Colleen S. McSwain of Albemarle, North Carolina.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hoyt of Concord, North Carolina. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George Hoyt and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hulzebos.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Matron of honor was Megan M. Mayes, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Keisha Carswell, Casey Covington, Lauren Saunders, and Abby Thompson.

Tyler Wagoner served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Peeler, Jordan Saunders, Denny Thompson, and David Williams.

The bride’s young nephew, Cameron Tate Mayes, was ring bearer.

Laura Collonia attended the bridal register and distributed programs.

Ansley is a graduate of Central Cabarrus High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State University in 2012 and her Master of Science degree in 2014. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate. She will be working in the Cabarrus County School System as a Speech/Language Pathologist.

Nick is a graduate of Central Cabarrus High School and graduated from Appalachian State University in 2012, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Science, with a Concentration in Construction Management. He is employed with Venture Construction Company as superintendent.

Following the wedding, the bride’s parents hosted a reception with dinner and dancing.

The groom’s parents hosted a Southern barbecue rehearsal dinner following the rehearsal.

On the eve of the wedding, Ansley, her bridesmaids, and other guests were honored at a bridesmaid’s luncheon at the home of her aunt, Nicole Williams. Other hostesses were aunts and cousins of the bride.

The bride and groom will honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica and be at home in Concord, North Carolina.
