The wedding of Blair Lauren Hurm and Judson Nolan Cowan was celebrated on March 5, 2012, in the Square du Vert Galant on the Île -de -la -Cité in Paris, France. The Rev. Brendan White, pastor of Hillsong Church in Paris officiated the 10 a.m. service. Their immediate families and wedding party attended the couple.
Bridesmaids were Ms. Emily Borgelt of San Francisco, Calif., college roommate of the bride, Ms. Rachel Braden of Raleigh, N.C., high school friend of the bride and Ms. Dorothy Cowan, of New York City, sister of the groom.
Groomsmen were lifelong friend of the groom, Mr. Will Joines of New York City, Mr. Matt Marchini of Atlanta, Ga. and Mr. Philip Hurm, of Dallas, Texas, brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony the couple placed a lock on the Pont de Arts bridge linking the left bank and the Louvre, as is the custom, and tossed their keys into the Seine. The wedding party then traveled by foot through the Louvre courtyard to the Maison Angelina on the Rue de Rivoli for a wedding brunch hosted by the bride and groom.
Blair is the daughter of Ms. Elyse H. Hurm of Raleigh, N.C. and Dr. James L. Hurm of Chincoteague Island, Va. She is the granddaughter of Carol and Dee Hurm Sr. of Seminole, Fla. and the late Eleanor and Wilbur Hartling, of St. Petersburg, Fla.
The bride is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Emory University and is a Senior Media Planner at Moxie Interactive Advertising Agency in Atlanta, Ga.
Judson is the son of Ms. Martha Chapman and Mr. Joseph Kluttz Jr. and the late Gary L. Cowan, of Albemarle, N.C. He is the grandson of Lloyd W. Cowan and the late Elizabeth L. Cowan and the late John Judson and Dorothy W. Chapman of Sylva, N.C.
The groom is a graduate of East Carolina University and is an Art Director at Blue Sky advertising agency in Atlanta, Ga.
The couple honeymooned in France and the British Isles before returning to their home in Atlanta, Ga.
