Melinda Shawn Whitley and Cameron Wade Lephew were united in marriage on August 3, 2013, in Floyd Baptist Church, Floyd, Va. Rev. Joseph Womack officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney James Whitley of Pilot, Va., formerly of Oakboro, N.C. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. John Saraske, formerly of Anderson, S.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Buren Whitley, formerly of Oakboro, N.C.
The bride has a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Radford University in Radford, Va. and is employed at Spring Tree Health and Rehab in Roanoke, Va.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wade Lephew of Draper, Va. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Gibson of Wytheville, Va. and Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Lephew of Austinville, Va.
The groom is attending Radford University/Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Va., pursuing a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
The bride was attired in an Allure ball gown of satin and tulle with a sweetheart neckline and a bodice adorned with delicate lace applique, embroidery and Swarovski crystals.
Mrs. Samantha Hayes of Radford, Va. was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Hillary Lephew, of Richmond Va., sister of the groom; Mrs. Madison Whitley of Raleigh, N.C., sister-in-law of the bride; and Miss Kristi Lummis of Radford, Va. Flower girls were Lillian Whitley of Raleigh, N.C., niece of the bride and Allison McDaniel of Stanfield, N.C., cousin of the bride.
Best man was Guy LeBlanc of Williamsburg, Va. Groomsmen were Michael Whitley of Raleigh, N.C., brother of the bride; Daniel Whitley, of Pilot, Va., brother of the bride; and Camden Akers of Pulaski, Va.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, followed the ceremony at Chateau Morrisette in Meadows of Dan, Va.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding at the clubhouse of the Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech in Radford, Va.
Following a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple is residing in Roanoke, Va.
