Saturday, March 23, 2013 —
Summer Dale Burleson and Christopher Lee Hudson were united in marriage on October 20, 2012, at The Lodge on Hatley Farm Road, Albemarle. Rev. Mike Greene officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Burleson of New London. She is a 2000 graduate of North Stanly High School, graduated from Stanly Community College as a Certified Medical Assistant and is employed by Albemarle Medical Services.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Talbert of Aquadale. He is a 1995 graduate of West Stanly High School and is master barber and stylist/owner of Carolina Cutters Barber Shop in Norwood.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Eddie Burleson.
Matron of honor was Mrs. April Taylor, sister of the bride. Maid of honor was Ms. Beth McSwain. Bridesmaid was Brooklyn Ussery, daughter of the bride.
Mike Talbert, father of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Kolbie Hudson and Dereck Talbert, sons of the groom.
Sommer Ayres, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Solomon Hudson, son of the groom, was ring bearer. Danny Moore was soloist and Linda Griffin directed the wedding. Program and register attendants were Meredith Taylor and Lainey Taylor, nieces of the bride.
A reception followed the ceremony at The Lodge on Hatley Farm Road, Albemarle.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by Buck, Jeanne, Ashley and Courtney Moore on the eve of the wedding at The Lodge on Hatley Farm Road, Albemarle.
A bridal shower was hosted by Terry and Janie Hatley at their home.
Following the wedding the couple went on a honeymoon cruise to Nassau, Bahamas.
The couple is residing in Albemarle.
