Brewer-McLawhorn Wedding

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 — Meghan Elizabeth McLawhorn and Adam Keith Brewer were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at The Cardinal Club in Raleigh. Rev. Dr. Paul H. Lang officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Jolly McLawhorn of Winterville. Her grandparents are Mrs. Brownie Dail McLawhorn of Winterville and the late Mr. Charles Lorenzo McLawhorn and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edwards Evans, formerly of Roxboro.

The bride graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Textiles and Apparel Management. She is the Assistant Director of the International Textile Market Association in High Point.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Keith Brewer of Norwood. His grandparents are Mr. Harold Robert Russell of Star and the late Mrs. Merial Russell and Mr. Martin Eli Brewer of Troy and the late Mrs. Delilah Brewer.

The groom graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Agronomy. He is the Assistant Superintendent at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Rebecca Robertson McLawhorn, sister-in-law of the bride, of Winston-Salem. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Brittany Leggett Corey of Greenville, Miss Alyssa Ann Gambrell of Clayton, Miss Hannah Lane Marsh of Boulder, Colo., Mrs. Adrienne Anne Rozell of Columbus, Ohio, Miss Chista Lee Sansing of Wilmington, Miss Ashley Nicole Utley of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Mrs. Amanda Joyner Williams of Rodanthe. Miss Peyton Ann Gambrell of Clayton served as flower girl.

Mr. Brian Keith Brewer, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. John Andrew Biles of Norwood; Mr. Ethan Williams Brewer, brother of the groom, of Norwood; Mr. Robert Russell Brewer, brother of the groom, of Nashville, Tenn.; Mr. Tyler Evans McLawhorn, brother of the bride, of Winston-Salem; Mr. David Forrest Shaffer of New Bern and Mr. Luke Joseph Young of Raleigh.

Mrs. Sarah Lang served as violinist. Greeters were Miss Sara Virginia Wrenn, cousin of the bride, of Roxboro; Miss Molly Madison McLawhorn, cousin of the bride, of Winterville; Mrs. Kure Elizabeth Hern of Winterville and Miss Anna Caitlin Skinner of Grifton.

Following the ceremony a reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at The Cardinal Club.

On the evening of January 18, 2013, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at 518 West Italian Cafe in Raleigh.

The couple is residing in High Point following a honeymoon trip to Jamaicia.
