Three motorcycles found in the woods were enough to charge a 25-year-old man with breaking and entering and felony larceny.
Dalton Majeed Khan, 26, of Ledbetter Road in New London was charged Oct. 11 after the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering.
Deputies responded to the report and, while checking the immediate area, were able to locate the stolen motorcycles near the victim’s residence.
The stolen motorcycles were the property of Dennis Garmon, who also resides on Ledbetter Road.
After further investigation, Khan was arrested and charged with three counts of felony breaking and entering as well as three counts of larceny of a motor vehicle.
The value of the property recovered was $14,500.
Khan will make an initial court appearance in District Court Oct. 29.
He is currently being held under a $20,000 secured bond in the Stanly County Detention Center.
