Stanly County Commission made several appointments to various community boards in action taken last Monday night.
Commission members unanimously reappointed Benton Payne to the Board of Adjustments for another three-year term.
Kevin Brickman was moved from being an alternate member to a regular member for a three-year term.
Houston Bradley Clark was appointed as an alternate which will also be for three years.
David Smith of Albemarle, who has previously served on the Economic Development Board in an ex-officio capacity, was named as a regular member to fill the unexpired term of Paul Childress.
Smith’s term will run until Jan. 31, 2014.
Reappointed to three-year terms to the Environmental Affairs Board were Franklin Lee, representing agriculture; Dale Burris, representing industry; and Mark Dry, serving at-large.
Commission also approved the appointment of Robert Garmon Jr. to fill an industry vacancy on the board.
Deloris Chambers of Badin was appointed to serve on the Gaston Community Action Board, replacing Dexter Townsend who resigned because of other obligations and commitments in other areas.
Commissioners also gave final approval to the 2013 Schedule of Values.
The commission is scheduled to meet for its next regular session at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at Stanly County Commons.
