Sheriff’s office arrests men on multiple charges

Monday, January 21, 2013 — On Jan. 3, a victim contacted the sheriff’s office and reported items stolen from their residence.

After an investigation into the incident, which a report states occurred Dec. 27, 2012, deputies were able to obtain warrants for Maxwell Devin Erwin and Charles Jeffrey Clowney, both of 823 Elm St.,  Kannapolis.

Erwin faces charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor injury to real property.

Clowney faces charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering and misdemeanor injury to real property.

Both individuals were arrested and processed into the Stanly County Detention Facility, where they both received a $5.000 secured bond. Both are scheduled for district court  on Feb. 4.
