Man faces multiple breaking and entering charges


Monday, January 21, 2013 — On Jan. 8 the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.  Deputies conducted an investigation and suspected Matthew Lee Hatley, 23, of committing these crimes.  Hatley is also suspected of being in possession of six $100 counterfeit bills.

Hatley was arrested and taken to the Stanly County Detention Center, where he was given a $10,000 secured bond.

He faces charges of felonious breaking and entering, felonious larceny after breaking and entering, two counts of safecracking and felonious possession of more than five counterfeit instruments.
