Friday, October 4, 2013 — A preliminary to the Miss North Carolina and Miss America pageants, Stanly County Pageant organizers are excited about this year’s roster of contestants.

Along with the six Miss contestants, four teens will compete for the Outstanding Teen title and will also join other Outstanding Teens from throughout the state to compete for the Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen 2014 title.

Contestants compete in evening gown, lifestyle and fitness, talent, on state question and interview before a panel of Miss North Carolina judges.

These young women have been preparing for this opportunity for the past several months.

The Miss Stanly County Pageant Association introduces the following contestants that will be on the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center stage at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Competing for the Miss title will be: Maddison Gill, Allison Efird, Macy Stutts, Jordan Cannon, Nicole Kippes and Madeline Tucker.

Emily Tucker, MacKenzie McCarthy, Kiley Harless and Cierra Miller will compete for the Outstanding Teen title.

The Miss Stanly County Pageant Association is proud of Madison Harvell and Abigail Isenhour, the 2013 Miss and Outstanding Teen who represented Stanly County at the Miss North Carolina Pageant in June 2013.

Both young women have experienced opportunities that have had an impact on each of them as well as all of the individuals that they have met and shared their talent and outgoing personalities with this past year, according to Judy Tucker, executive director of the organization.
