Sheriff’s Office arrests Locust man for breaking and entering

Monday, August 27, 2012 — A Locust man is facing multiple charges after being arrested for a breaking and entering incident.

According to the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a report of a breaking, entering and larceny from an outbuilding on Aug. 7.

An investigation into the report identified Nathan Davis Basinger, 18, of Herring Grove Road, Locust, as the suspect.

Deputies obtained warrants charging him with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering and felony attempt to obtain property by false pretense.

He was arrested on Aug. 8 and placed in the Stanly County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 27.
