Former Bulldog, NCSU footballer arrested on drug charges

Tuesday, September 11, 2007 — Monday officers with the Albemarle Police Department (APD) arrested Tristan Akeen “T.A.” Mclendon, 23, of Grigg Street, Albemarle, at the intersection of 807 Summit Ave. and Wall Street.

Mclendon, known by most for his stand-out performances as a running back for Albemarle High School and N.C. State University, faces multiple charges.

He’s charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, driving with license revoked and maintaining a vehicle for drugs.
