Open houses coming up

Friday, August 12, 2011 — As the first day of school nears, schools across the county are preparing to open their doors to parents and students for open house.

West Stanly Middle School and Stanly Academy were the latest to announce their events.

The following schools will hold their open houses at the following times:

• Albemarle High School: Tuesday, Aug. 23. Ninth grade open house is from 6 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., 10th and 11th grades from 6:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. and 12th grade from 7 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

• Albemarle Middle School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

• Aquadale Elementary School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

• Badin Elementary School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

• Central Elementary School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

• East Albemarle Elemen-tary School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

• Endy Elementary School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

• Locust Elementary School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

• Millingport Elementary School: Monday, Aug. 22 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

• North Stanly High School: Tuesday, Aug. 23. Ninth grade open house is from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and 10th, 11th and 12th grades from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

• North Stanly Middle School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

• Norwood Elementary School: Monday, Aug. 22 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

• Oakboro Elementary School: Monday, Aug. 22 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

• Richfield Elementary School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

• Ridgecrest Elementary School: Monday, Aug. 22 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

• South Stanly High School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

• South Stanly Middle School: Monday, Aug. 22. The sixth grade parent meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Open house is from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

• Stanfield Elementary School: Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

• Stanly Academy: 5-7 p.m. Aug. 22.

• West Stanly High School: Tuesday, Aug. 23. Ninth grade open house is from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and 10th, 11th and 12th grades from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

• West Stanly Middle School: eighth-grade class from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 22; seventh-grade open house will be from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 23.

• Gray Stone Day School: Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 6:30 p.m.

The first day of school for Stanly County Schools is Aug. 25.

The first day for Gray Stone is Aug. 19.
