Monarch will again host its Annual Dreams Take Flight Golf Tournament at Tillery Tradition Golf Club in Mt. Gilead on Friday, April 19. Sponsored by First Citizens Bank, the tournament is in its fifth year. Funds raised from the event will benefit the support and services Monarch provides to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance abuse challenges.
Registration begins at 11 a.m. and tee time is 1 p.m. There will be a special guest appearance by the Carolina Panthers’ team mascot Sir Purr. Dozens of teams will participate to support Monarch and compete for the championship title. Last year, tournament proceeds topped approximately $50,000.
