No tricks, just treats fall festival scheduled

Sunday, October 11, 2009 — The Fourth annual Albemarle Downtown Fall Festival is set for Oct. 29, and will be sponsored by Sparger Investments. The No Tricks, Just Treats event of the afternoon’s festivities will kick off with a costume parade down North Second Street. After the parade, children (12 and under) through fifth grade, will have the opportunity to trick-or-treat throughout the downtown, visiting participating businesses. The North Stanly Players will provide family friendly entertainment in the Courthouse Square Park beginning at 5:15 p.m. Fall Festival event times are as follows:

• Parade: 4 - 4:30 p.m.

• No Tricks/ Just Treats: 4:30 - 6 p.m.

• Play: 5:15 - 6 p.m.

The Fall Festival is an ongoing, collaborative effort of the Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation, Stanly County Arts Council, Albemarle Downtown Business Association, and the United Way. It is an effort to bring a fun, safe, family-oriented event to historic downtown Albemarle, for the citizens of Stanly County.
