Should I take them to a doctor?
For regular flu symptoms, no. But if they have any chronic medical problems you should take them right away as medicine might shorten its course. After a couple of days of symptoms this medicine probably doesn’t help at all. You should also take them if they have any severe symptoms, such as trouble breathing, chest pain, bluish discoloration to the skin or lips, or dehydration.
If I don’t take them to a doctor, what can I do?
Give them plenty of fluids. For fever and pain you can give ibuprofen (Motrin) or acetaminophen (Tylenol). Let them get plenty of rest.
