Recently we laid my sister-in-law to rest.
My grandson rode with me in the funeral procession from Albemarle to Norwood. We were talking about all the cars that had pulled over or stopped as we passed.
I explained to him the respect that it showed to the family. The more we saw the more emotional he got till he finally just busted out to cry he was so happy to see the respect.
That was his first funeral procession that he had ever been in so he had no idea what was happening. Everybody from big trucks to little cars to people on the side had stopped to show their respect.
Thank you everyone for showing my grandson what we as a community do to show respect.
