Camille Kelly Quinn, 52, of 112 W. Church St., New London, died at 6:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at her home.
The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Stanly Funeral Home of Albemarle.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of New London. The Rev. Otis Goins and The Rev. Tim Swaringen will officiate. Burial will be in New London Cemetery.
Born March 31, 1956 in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Joe D. and Mattie Barringer Kelly.
A 1973 graduate of North Stanly High School, she was also a graduate of UNC Greensboro and Appalachian State University.
She was a teacher for 25 years, having taught in the Mooresville and Stanly County school systems.
A member of First Baptist Church of New London, she was a Sunday school teacher and a children’s church teacher. She also coached the 2000 North Stanly Dixie Ponytail Softball Team that went to the World Series in Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Mark T. Quinn of the home; two daughters, Kelly Jo Quinn and Caitlin Bess Quinn, both of the home; a brother, Joe D. Kelly Jr. and wife Rhonda of New London; a sister, Mar K. Chandlee and husband Joel of Wakefield, R.I.; six nephews; and five nieces.
