Robah Allen Osteen, 61, of Albemarle died at 3:34 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at his home.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Stanly Funeral Home.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Grace Baptist Church, where he was a member. The Rev. Scott Shoffner and The Rev. Samuel Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Born Oct. 8, 1945 in Stanly County, he was a son of Annie Juanita Osteen of Albemarle and the late R.V. and Lola B. Lowder Osteen.
He was a long haul truck driver with Shoe Show of Concord and was formerly employed with Collins & Aikman as a truck driver with the Traffic Division for 25 years.
Robah was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Stanly County Marine Corps League - Stanly County Detachment No. 1021 and a member of the Stanly County DAV.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Douglas Osteen.
He was married to Jane B. Osteen of the home. Other survivors include four daughters, Wendy Barbee of Ocean Isle Beach, Tammy Shaver of Albemarle, Tangy House of New London and Misty Brady of Randleman; a brother, Robert Osteen of Albemarle; a sister, Patsy Smith of Mt. Gilead; a special friend, Kim Gill of Albemarle; and nine grandchildren, Matthew Austin, Jaime Austin, Kynlee Shaver, Tanner House, Laney House, Taylor Barbee, Morgan Barbee, Jacob Davis and Ryan Brady.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle.
