Edward Julian was a U.S. Army veteran, Alcoa retiree


Friday, January 10, 2014 — Edward Brown Julian, 74, of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. formerly of Albemarle, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in the SECU Lower Cape Fear “Hospice House,” Bolivia, N.C.

Born on December 13, 1939, he was a son of the late Robert L. and Naomi Lyerly Julian. Mr. Julian was a U.S. Army veteran, a longtime member of the First Lutheran Church of Albemarle, and was retired from ALCOA. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda E. Julian; a son, Edward E. “Eddie” Julian, Sr., and Renee S. Julian of Ocean Isle Beach; four grandchildren, Edward E. Julian, Jr., Davis Lee Julian, Madison Cheyenne Cagle and Mary Laina Julian.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, in the First Lutheran Church of Albemarle. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to the SECU, Lower Cape Fear “Hospice House”, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
