Andy Anderson was an Air Force veteran


Tuesday, November 26, 2013 — Manville J. “Andy” Anderson, 89, of Norwood, passed away Thursday morning, November 21, 2013, at Stanly Regional Medical Center.  

The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. Monday evening, November 25, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. Interment will be at a later day in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Robbins, N.C.  

Mr. Anderson was born December 28, 1923, in Willow City, N.D. to the late Harry Anderson and Hilda Miller Anderson.  

He proudly served his country as a Cryptologist in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

He was the retired President of Burbank Moving & Storage. He was an active member of Pee Dee Lodge 150 and the Oasis Shrine.  Andy enjoyed playing golf with friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard Anderson and Don Anderson;  and grandchild, Alex Bramble.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Howard Anderson of the home; son, Mark Anthony Bramble of Charleston, W.Va.; and daughter, Belinda Gay Becker of Seattle, Wash.; and grandchildren, Lauren Bramble and Brandon Becker.
