Darlene Corriher, 75, of Albemarle, a business owner, died Jan. 28, 2014


Thursday, January 30, 2014 — Darlene Ross Corriher, age 75, of Albemarle, died at 6:34 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014, in her daughter’s home.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014, in Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle, N.C. The Rev. Lanny Lancaster will officiate and burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory, Albemarle, N.C.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014, at Stanly Funeral Home.

Born October 30, 1938, in Pulaski, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ted E. Ross and Mamie Stone Ross.

She was the business owner of DC’s, a North Carolina State Inspection Station. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, Albemarle, N.C. and a member of the Forever Young Club at the church.

Mrs. Corriher was married to the late Dewey Robert Corriher who preceded her in death on October 8, 2012.

Survivors include one daughter, Lori Corriher Palmer and husband Michael of Albemarle, N.C.; one brother, Eugene Ross of Richfield, N.C.; one sister, Ethel Slusher of Texas; and two grandchildren, Jacob Palmer and Joshua Palmer.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.

Stanly Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
