Richard A. Jarrett, 82, of Albemarle, owner of Dick Jarrett: Graphics, dies Oct. 12, 2013

Tuesday, October 15, 2013 — Richard A. Jarrett, 82, of Albemarle, N.C., died Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Stanly Regional Medical Center.  

His funeral was Sunday, October 13, 2013, in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. The family received friends at Stanly Funeral Home from 2-2:45 p.m. prior to the service.

Born February 16, 1931. in Randleman, N.C., he was the son of the late Edgar and Zula Folgeman Jarrett.  

He attended Pfeiffer Junior College and was the owner of Dick Jarrett: Graphics.  

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Barden Jarrett of the home. Survivors also include one son, Richard (Rick) A. Jarrett Jr. and wife Jane; and two sisters, Maxine Brown of Julian, N.C. and Dorothy (Dottie) Scott of Ben Salem, Pa.  

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Jarrett; and three sisters, Annie Lee Cust, Helen Grady and Martha Louise Jarrett.  

The family thanks the staff at Hospice and the nurses and staff of the fourth floor of Stanly Regional Medical Center.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.

Stanly Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
