Dorothy ‘Dot’ Corne, 80, of Albemarle, a member of Hillside Baptist Church, died Jan. 15, 2014

Sunday, January 19, 2014 — Dorothy “Dot” Maybelle Bradley Corne, age 80, of Albemarle, N.C., died at 1:41 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014, in Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle, N.C.

Her funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle, N.C. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Park, Albemarle, N.C.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014, at Stanly Funeral Home.

Born December 31, 1933, in Pickens County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late William Theodore Bradley and Essie Mae Kelly Bradley.

She was a retired employee of Federal Pacific Electric Co. and a member of Hillside Baptist Church, Albemarle, N.C.

She was married to the late Drayton Middleton Corne who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Tony L. Corne and wife Marsha of Stoneville, N.C. and Travis M. Corne and wife Zeida of Albemarle, N.C.; two daughters, Joyce Pearson and husband Frank of Wilmington, N.C. and Bobbie Clodfelter and husband Chris of Albemarle, N.C.; three brothers, Bob Bradley of Thomasville, N.C., Jimmy Bradley of High Point, N.C. and Johnny Bradley of Pickens, S.C.; three sisters, Ruth Ann Phillips, Carolyn Sheppard and Buddy Reece, all of Pickens, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchild-ren.

Stanly Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
