Aaron Theodore Blake, 75, of Norwood, passed away Sunday afternoon April 14, 2013, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Norwood Church of God. Rev. Keith Allen and Rev. Columbus J. House will officiate and burial will follow at Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Candor, N.C.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening, April 16, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Mr. Blake was born January 10, 1938, in Montgomery County to the late Sankey Morton Blake and Dell Lucille Farbee Blake.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of South Stanly Baptist Church and a retiree of Collins & Aikman Corporation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raeford Blake.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Smith Blake of the home; sons, Wesley Blake and wife Paula and Zeb Blake and wife Aimee, all of Norwood; daughter, Dean Blake Huneycutt and husband Melvin of Oakboro; brothers, Curtis Blake of Norwood, Don Blake of Mount Gilead, Moses Blake of Osborne and Joe Blake of Hamlet; sister, Miriam Phillips of Morehead City; seven grandchildren, Chad Kinley, Blake Kinley, Aimee Burleson and husband Justin, Dillion Blake, Elliot Blake, Cody Blake and Taylor Eli Blake; and six great-grandchildren.
