Tuesday, March 26, 2013 — Harry Tull Scott Jr., 63, of Kill Devil Hills, died at 2:32 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville.
Born August 18, 1949, in Blue Ridge, Tenn., he grew up in Greensboro, N.C. where his late grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Scott raised him.
He was a graduate of Page High School. He was a chef and restaurant owner in Richfield and Badin, and also worked in carpentry in Albemarle, Charlotte and the Outer Banks up until August 2012. He moved to Charlotte in November 2012 to live with his daughter and her family. He attended Elevation Church.
Surviving are his son, Jeffrey Tull Scott of Kill Devil Hills; daughter, Kristina and husband Ryan Barrier and three grandchildren, Kayla, Kassidy and Karley Barrier, all of Charlotte.
A private service is planned and will be in the Outer Banks.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony was at the Barrier home in Charlotte on Saturday, March 23 from 4-7 p.m.
