Tuesday, May 7, 2013 — Julia Turner Cook, age 82, of Albemarle, died at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, in Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle.

Her graveside service was at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in the Bethesda Community Cemetery, Albemarle, N.C. Rev. David Hatley officiated.

The family received friends at Stanly Funeral Home, Albemarle, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. prior to the hour of the service. At other hours the family will be at the home of her sister, Lula Mae Turner, 710 Moss Springs Road, Albemarle, N.C.

Born May 13, 1930, in Stanly County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Charlie Travis and Bertha Ellen Ingold Turner.

She was a retired employee of Concord Telephone Company. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Mishak and fianceé Sal Pryor of Kannapolis, N.C. and Michelle Davis; two sisters, Gladys Rummage and Lula M. Turner, both of Albemarle. Also surviving is a special niece, Wanda Honeycutt, of Albemarle, N.C.

Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Stanly Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
