Barbara Ann McIntyre Wilson, 77, of Norwood, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 9, 2013, at home.
Funeral service was at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Norwood. Rev. David Hatley and Rev. David Lowe will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Mrs. Wilson was born October 23, 1935, in Stanly County to the late James Woodrow and Gracie Mae Russell McIntyre.
She was a retiree of Collins & Aikman Corporation. She was a faithful member for 61 years of Mount Zion United Methodist Church, where she loved her church family and enjoyed attending all church functions.
In addition to her love for her church, she was a wonderful cook, especially cakes. She enjoyed crocheting and working in her flowers. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed watching the games on television.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Willie James Wilson of the home; sister, Pat Kimrey of Norwood; nieces and nephews, including special niece, Sandra Wiles of Troy.
