Broyce Moose, a homemaker and bookkeeper, dies at 82

Wednesday, July 24, 2013 — Broyce Lazelle Snuggs Moose, 82, of Albemarle passed away Sunday July 21, 2013 in Carolinas Medical Center Charlotte. Her funeral service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday July 23, 2013 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. The family received friends at the Stanly Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12-1:30 p.m. prior to the service.  Burial followed in Fairview Memorial Park.  

Born January 9, 1931 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Alex Snuggs and Vada Smith Snuggs and was a homemaker and former bookkeeper with Moose’s Dairy.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Albemarle and was very active in the life of her church and the WMU. She served for many years as the bookkeeper of the Southside Volunteer Fire Dept. She loved her family dearly.  

She was married to Gene Howard Moose of Albemarle. Other survivors include son, Howard A. Moose and wife Sonya of Albemarle; daughter, Donna M. Sinclair and husband Art of Chester, Va.; brother, Max Snuggs and wife Gail of Concord; five grandchildren, Daniel A. Sinclair and wife Emilee of Wilmington, N.C., Andrew T. Sinclair and wife Amy of Midlothian Va., Kellie M. Sinclair of Charlottesville, Va., Nathan H. Moose and Davis G. Moose of Albemarle; and 3 great-grandchildren,  Jackson, Josiah and Jeremiah.  A granddaughter, Breann Lee Moose, and two sisters, Trudie Griffin, and Elsie Greene, all preceded her in death.
