Mychree Edwards, 89, of Albemarle, was talented seamstress, loved to paint, draw and puzzles

Tuesday, October 15, 2013 — Mychree Jordan Edwards, 89, of Albemarle, N.C., died Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Bethany Woods Nursing Facility.  

Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013, in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle, with Chaplain Misty McAden officiating.  Burial followed in Fairview Memorial Park, Albemarle. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2013, at Stanly Funeral Home.

Born September 28, 1924, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late James Roper Jordan and Laura Harris Jordan.  

She was a member of North Albemarle Baptist Church and was a talented seamstress, loved to paint and draw and put together puzzles.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burley Avery Edwards in 2005; and a brother, Bural Jordan.  

Survivors include two brothers, Delmar Jordan of Florence, S.C. and Elwood Jordan of Charlotte, N.C.  

She also had two people who were very fortunate to have her be a part of their lives, her niece, Cheryl Jordan Burleson and husband Cecil of Albemarle and Michael Scarboro and wife Lynn of Albemarle.  

We would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the people who came by to visit and pray with Mychree during her final days.
